School Details
Overview of School Life
The school serves a close-knit student body of 50 children, distributed fairly evenly across the first five years of primary education (ranging from 8 to 12 students per grade). Education is a consistent part of the community's life, with students attending school six days a week (Sunday through Friday) for six hours a day. The academic calendar is active with classes held every month except July.

Teaching and Management
The school’s operations are managed by Lagan Bahadur Rai, who maintains communication with the Juving Society via Facebook. The teaching staff consists of six educators, all of whom hold professional teaching degrees (3-4 years of post-secondary education). There is a positive outlook on professional development, as teachers have the opportunity to receive extra training to upgrade their skills.
Facilities and Technology
While the school has integrated some technology, the infrastructure is aging. There are two computers
on-site, but they date back to before 2015 and are not in good condition.
-
Student Use: Children occasionally use the computers for entertainment, such as playing Windows games or using Paint.
-
Teacher Use: Teachers use them sporadically to type examination questions or write articles, though general familiarity with computer systems remains low among the staff.
-
Digital Literacy: Currently, students do not use email due to limited English proficiency and a lack of technical familiarity. However, there is potential for international connection (like writing to Canadian students) if proper training is provided.
Learning Materials and Needs
The school provides essential learning materials, including reading charts, storybooks, and stationery. Every year, before the new academic term begins, students are supplied with uniforms and backpacks. However, there is a clear need for updated resources, as many of the current teaching materials are in poor condition and require replacement to maintain a high quality of education.

Community Context and Future Prospects
The construction of a local road has been a "very positive" milestone for the Juving community, significantly improving access to markets, health facilities, and educational opportunities. For students moving beyond the primary level, the nearest school is approximately 1 km away (a 15–20 minute walk), and about 20–30 students from the Juving community currently make that commute. Higher education is incentivized through a scholarship program. These awards are merit-based, granted to the top three boys and top three girls based on their results in the S.E.E. (Grade 10) examinations, providing a clear pathway for the school's high achievers to continue their studies.
