Our Work

01

The Shree Dip Jyoti Basic School

This is the primary focus of the donations to the Juving Development Society. This program costs $20,000 in operating costs per year and provides the salary for four teachers, uniforms and backpacks for up to 85 children, and other school related materials as determined by the teachers. Because of this program, this village has been able to prioritize education up to grade five within the village, making basic school accessible to all who live there.

Project Evergreen

Project Evergreen is a community building funded through the Juving Development Society. Donations covered the capital costs of over $40,000 while the village provided the labour to complete the project. The Evergreen Community Centre opened its doors in 2025 and provided a much needed space for community gathering, traveling medical clinics and has helped to improve the standard of living in the village.

03

Earthquake Relief

When a large earthquake hit Juving in 2015, it devastated Nepal. Many houses had collapsed. The Society was able to quickly provide $5000 in relief efforts which provided the transportation to remote villages after roads and bridges had been destroyed to deliver medical staff as well as rice, salt, oil and clean water for the villagers.

04

The new school

With the support of Juving's leaders, the Juving Development Society provided funding to build a two classroom school in 2011. When the new school could not accommodate the additional students who came to the new school, additional funding was provided to help build a second school building with 3 classrooms and a library. Designed by a Nepali architect, the school was built to survive the seimic activity common to the area. In the devastating earthquake of 2015, the school complex suffered very little damage.
