SPRING 2018 UPDATE

We are so grateful for the generous support of our donors. The school we provided funding to build serves 75 students and consists of a beautiful facility-plus-office of five-rooms/library.  Used also for village meetings and events, it is truly a community hub. Throughout 2017, we continued to support the school. We provided wages for four teachers, which were increased to the standard Nepal pay scale. We also provided warm clothing and backpacks to the students. It can get quite chilly in this mountainous region of Nepal, and so the warmer clothing improved school attendance and made a huge difference for the children.  We additionally supported fees for students experiencing hardship and provided finances for Juving’s top students to continue junior high education in a neighbouring village. 

We have a few exciting potential future projects to benefit Juving that we are considering. These are still in the information-seeking stage; details will be forthcoming as decisions are made.
